Dog Murras, the artistic name of Murthala Fancony Bravo de Oliveira, is an Angolan musician, author, speaker and entrepreneur born in Luanda. With a career that began in the 1990s, he has built a body of work connecting urban music, social intervention, Angolan identity and dialogue between Africa and the diaspora.
Editorial biography
Born in Luanda in 1977, Dog Murras began his artistic path in 1995 while studying Fine Arts in South Africa. Music became the first language of a career that would grow to include albums, social intervention, entrepreneurship, public speaking and literature. He is the author of “Matemática da Coerência” and “Ubuntu — Nós por Nós”. His public work crosses Angola, Brazil, South Africa and the wider Lusophone world, with identity, collective responsibility and culture remaining central themes.
